Dr. Denise Gates

Dr. Gates is a graduate of Oregon Health and Science University in Portland.

Her passion for evidence-based dentistry and patient education helps her involve her patients in a unique experience. Together she and her patients develop individualized treatment plans that improve patients' overall long-term, oral health. These always include current, best-treatment practices. Dr. Gates married the love of her life, Chris, in 2004 and has four beautiful children. She spends her time attending soccer, wrestling and piano events. She enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, biking and playing board games with her family.

Nahid was born and raised in Iran where she went to the National University of Tehran and studied sociology for four years before the revolution happened. She and her family managed to escape from Iran where she was persecuted for their Bahai' faith. They traveled through Turkey and Italy for many months before arriving in the USA in 1984 with just $9 to their name. Before moving to Oregon, she lived in Kansas, Florida and California. Nahid has been a Dental Assistant since 1987, has two wonderful kids (Badi Marco and Roya), and loves Oregon for the wonderful people and beautiful scenery.

Jennifer
Dental Hygienist
Jennifer is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Sanford Brown College in Dallas Texas with a degree in Dental Hygiene of Applied Sciences. She is patient-focused, driven to provide a personable experience along with the highest quality of care possible. Jennifer enjoys building relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health. She has extensive experience and advanced training in local anesthesia, and laser therapy. She is passionate about attending continuing education courses to further her ability and provide the best care possible her patients. Jennifer is excited to have a career that she loves and is grateful to be working with such an amazing team at Gates Family Dentistry.

Dental Assistant
Tori was born and raised around Wilsonville area and she attended Clackamas Community College where she earned her associates of arts degree while playing softball for the Cougars. There, she went on to complete their dental assistant program. She loves spending time outdoors while camping and riding dirt bikes with her family. Training her puppy to shed hunt is a new hobby of hers along with her new interest in pottery. Dental was not her first choice for a career path, but once she entered the field, she fell in love. Turning someone's life around by changing their smile is what she lives for, along with educating patients on the importance of dental health and how it impacts overall health.
